Sheriff: Peoples Bank robbed in Saucier

SAUCIER -- A bank robbery investigation is underway following a holdup Friday at The Peoples Bank in Saucier, authorities said.

"We're looking at the video right now to try to identify the person," Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said.

The robbery was reported about 3:45 p.m., Peterson said.

The bank is on 2nd Street off U.S. 49.

"They implied they had a gun but they didn't show anything," Peterson said.

It wasn't immediately clear if more than one person was involved.
