A man and woman were found shot to death Monday morning in a Kenner residence, police said.

Lt. Brian McGregor of the Kenner Police Department said 10-year-old and 2-year-old boys, as well as an infant girl, were inside the apartment at the time of the shooting.

The man and woman were discovered shortly before 7 a.m. in an upstairs bedroom at 2144 Idaho Ave. Each had been shot several times, Jefferson Parish coroner Dr. Gerry Cvitanovich confirmed. A 2- to 3-week-old baby was found in bed with the victims.

The eldest boy heard the shots and ran to a neighbor's apartment for help, McGregor said. Police were called at that point, shortly before 7 a.m.
