PASS CHRISTIAN -- Narcotics officers arrested a 52-year-old Pass Christian man on drug-distribution charges after searching his home and finding meth, Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said.

Richard Bryan Parker Sr., who lives in the 26000 block of Eddy Road of Pass Christian, was jailed Friday night on a charge of possession with intent to distribute meth.

Officers with the sheriff's narcotics unit and the Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team found 8 grams of meth packaged for distribution in the house, Peterson said.

Officers also found bags, digital scales and other items associated with drug distribution, he said.

Parker was booked at the Harrison County jail with a $50,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray.

He was released from jail Friday night after his bail was posted, the jail docket shows.
