Man accused in Gulfport service station robbery detained in Missouri
GULFPORT — A man accused in a Gulfport armed robbery was arrested Friday in St. Charles, Mo., police Sgt. Damon McDaniel said.
William Clifford Crittenden, 25, is accused of entering the Chevron Food Mart in the 1700 block of Kelly Avenue on Wednesday with his arm under his shirt, implying he had a handgun, and demanding money from the cashier.
McDaniel said Crittenden ran away after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money.
Video of the robbery was captured on the store’s surveillance system.
Crittenden is awaiting extradition, McDaniel said.
