Update: Coroner IDs man shot to death in Gulfport

An argument Saturday night ended with one man dead, another with multiple gunshot wounds and Shaquille Sands, 21, of the 13000 block of Robindale Road in Gulfport, arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault.

Richard Doby, 23, of Gulfport died Saturday of a gunshot wound to the chest, said Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove.

The call came in at 9:09 p.m., he said.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said deputies responded to 13803 Robindale Road in Gulfport after a report of a shooting. Robindale Road is in the Crown Hill subdivision, north of Interstate 10 in Gulfport.

Deputies found one man dead from a gunshot would and another man with several gunshot wounds, Peterson said.

Peterson said a verbal argument lead to the shooting, and the three people know each other.

The wounded man  was taken to Memorial Hospital of Gulfport by AMR, where he is listed in serious condition.

Sands was booked into the Harrison County Jail on a $1.5 million bond set by Judge Melvin Ray.
