Gautier police hunt burglary suspect as break-ins plague neighborhood

GAUTIER -- Gautier police are asking for help to find a man suspected in multiple burglaries.

Donozan "Lil Hog" Floyd Jr. is wanted in residential burglaries in the last few months off Ladnier Road in the College Park subdivision, Gautier officer Matt Hoggatt said.

Police said the burglar smashed windows at the homes to get inside.

Among the items stolen were electronics and firearms.

Over the last two months, Hoggatt said, police have responded to reports of at least 10 residential burglaries in the subdivision. Many occurred in the morning or afternoon while residents are at work.

"That's a lot for a small neighborhood," he said Friday. "They are being committed by short-term residents in the area or people who are crashing at houses in that area. (The burglars) don't seem out of place because some of them stay in the area."

Police developed Floyd as a suspect, Hoggatt said, after making a couple of arrests in other burglaries.
