Biloxi man accused in Jackson County auto burglary

JACKSON COUNTY -- Deputies arrested Benjamin Thomas Franklin Jr., 18, of Biloxi, Tuesday on a charge of auto burglary, Sheriff Mike Ezell said.

Franklin, a resident of the 150 block of Morrison Avenue, is accused in a Feb. 20 auto burglary in the 6000 block of Lancaster Boulevard. The Sheriff's Department did not say what was taken from the vehicle.

After his arrest, he was taken to the Jackson County jail.

At his initial court appearance Thursday, Judge Sharon Sigalas set his bond at $25,000.

If convicted, Franklin is facing a maximum prison term of seven years and up to a $10,000 fine.
