Police: Woman racked up charges on stolen credit card

BILOXI -- Police have arrested a woman accused to racking up hundreds of dollars in purchases on a credit card reported stolen Jan. 10, Detective Grandver Everett said.

Christina Maxine Kendrick, 43, of Gulfport, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of credit card fraud. She was taken into custody in the 2600 block of CT Switzer Drive.

Kendrick used the card for purchases at several Biloxi stores, Everett said.

The person who reported the card stolen lives in Gulfport, and Kendrick knows the cardholder, he said. Gulfport police are investigating the theft of the card.

Kendrick was held at the Harrison County jail on a $10,000 set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain. Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call Biloxi police dispatchers at 392-0641 or the criminal investigations division at 435-6112.
