PASCAGOULA -- Mark Daniel Hollimon, 45, of Richton, was sentenced Tuesday to 16 years in state prison after pleading guilty to three counts of sexual battery that occurred from November 2010 through January 2011.
Hollimon abused two children between the ages of 14 and 16 in Perry and Greene counties.
Circuit Court Judge Dale Harkey also sentenced Hollimon to serve five years under post-release supervision and fined him $3,000.
In addition, Hollimon must pay $1,000 to the Mississippi Children's Trust Fund and $250 to the Crime Victim's Compensation Fund.

He can have no contact with the victims and must register as a sex offender when he is released from prison.
"I am proud of the courage that both of these victims demonstrated in coming forward to report the abuse," District Attorney Tony Lawrence said. "I hope that this 16-year, day-for-day sentence sends a message that acts of abuse of any kind, and especially by those who are in a position of trust over a child, will not be tolerated."
