Two men have been arrested in Jackson County on charges of violating sex offender-registration laws.
Antonio Jerrell Clark, 29, of Ocean Springs, and Sheldon Gene Patterson, 43, of Vancleave, were arrested by the Jackson County Sheriff's Criminal Investigations Division in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Service Sex Offender Tracking Team, Sheriff Mike Ezell said in a press release.
Clark had an outstanding sheriff's warrant for failing to appear at a driver's license station to re-register every 90 days, as required by state law. He was arrested at his home on Columbus Circle.
Clark was convicted of sexual battery in Harrison County in 2005, and he was recently indicted by a Harrison County grand jury on two counts of registration violations after being arrested Feb. 25.
