JACKSON COUNTY -- Deputies have arrested a Moss Point woman on charges she used someone else's identification to make purchases, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said.
Laura Lashun McCreary, 29, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of using fake identification to fraudulently obtain goods. She bought the merchandise in December and the victim reported the identity theft Jan. 6.
McCreary was taken to the Jackson County jail, where she was being held pending a bond hearing.
If convicted, she could go to prison for up to five years and face up to $5,000 in fines.
