BILOXI POLICE DEPARTMENT Police say this woman dressed as a man while using stolen credit cards to buy clothes. This person is one of two sought in the case, which involves cards taken from a purse stolen on Howard Avenue.

BILOXI -- Two women suspected of using credit cards taken from a stolen purse have charged hundreds of dollars in merchandise at department stores, police Detective Kris M. Hines Jr. said.

Police released surveillance pictures of the two Wednesday in hopes someone can help identify them.

One woman wore a dark and light blue wind suit and a white ball cap. Hines said he believes the woman tucked her hair under the cap in an effort to be disguised as a man.

The other woman wore a navy blue Gap hoodie that covered her head.

The pictures were taken by store surveillance cameras, he said, and they include a photo of the women's car.

The purse was stolen Jan. 15 at a business in the 900 block of Howard Avenue, Hines said.

The owner of the purse later learned someone was using her credit cards to buy items, mostly clothes, at several stores, he said.
