HARRISON COUNTY -- Deputies have arrested a man accused of assaulting a Saucier resident by striking him in the face with a shotgun and trying to rob him, Sheriff Troy Peterson said.
The incident was reported Sunday from a residence in the 25100 block of McHenry Road in Saucier.
The injured man identified Robert Lee Bond Jr. as his assailant and said he fought him several minutes before Bond left without taking anything, Peterson said.
The injured man was taken to Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. He was treated and released.

Deputies arrested Bond, 49, of 15th Street, on Thursday.
He faces a charge of attempted armed robbery.
Bond was booked at the Harrison County jail and held on a $50,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray.
