PASCAGOULA -- A mother of eight admitted Monday she used a key she'd gotten from her former employer to break into an Ocean Springs sandwich shop and steal cash.
Marie Lynn Brown, 36, pleaded guilty Monday to the Nov. 8, 2013, burglary at Subway on U.S. 90 in Ocean Springs.
She stole $550 from the business and was captured on surveillance cameras.
"They kinda figured it was me on the camera," she said. Brown told the judge she's not presently working and her children are living with their father.

Circuit Judge Kathy King Jackson sentenced Brown to three years non-adjudicated probation, meaning if she stays out of trouble for the time she's on probation, she would have no felony record.
The judge also ordered her to pay a $1,500 fine, court costs and a $100 payment to the crime victim's compensation fund. In addition, she was ordered to pay a total of $550 in restitution.
