D'IBERVILLE -- Police discovered a woman's remains in a car parked in a wooded area near River Loop Drive on Saturday.

Investigators from the D'Iberville and Biloxi police departments believe the body to be that of 21-year-old Tiffany Rea Mcdavid.

Biloxi police Lt. Chris De Back said Mcdavid, last seen about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 6, was reported missing Jan. 11.

On Saturday, D'Iberville officers received a call about a suspicious vehicle found in a secluded area off River Loop Drive. In the car, which was registered to Mcdavid, were human remains.

Biloxi investigators were notified, De Back said.

"At this time the remains are believed to be those of Tiffany, however, an autopsy has been scheduled through the Harrison County Coroner's Office to confirm the identity and cause of death," De Back said. "The investigation into the death is ongoing."
