Biloxi police say man robbed victim at knife point

A man who allegedly robbed someone at knife point was found hiding in a closet and has been charged with armed robbery, Biloxi Police said.

Biloxi Police say Timothy Chase Brooks, 27, allegedly called someone Sunday and asked for a ride.

When the person offering the ride arrived, Brooks allegedly entered the vehicle and held a knife to the victim's throat and demanded money. The victim reportedly gave Brooks his wallet and money. Brooks allegedly took the victim's cellphone as well before fleeing on foot.

The victim reported the incident. During the investigation, Biloxi Police found some of the victim's property at a residence belonging to Brooks' girlfriend.

Police said they found Brooks hiding in a closet inside the girlfriend's residence and arrested him without incident.

He is being held at the Harrison County jail on $50,000 set by Justice Judge Albert Fountain.
