Pascagoula man shot to death Friday night; one arrested

A Moss Point man has been arrested on a murder charge in the Friday-night shooting of a Pascagoula man.

Pascagoula police Capt. Shannon Bloom said officers were called to a report of shots fired at Willow Creek Apartments in the 2000 block of Eden Street about 11:30 p.m. Friday.

They found Dornelle Brown, 43, lying between two apartment buildings, Bloom said.

Brown died at the scene.

Officials said officers with the Pascagoula Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Anton Marquis McWilliams, 26, about 11 a.m. Saturday.

He was taken to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center where he awaits his initial court appearance.
