Argument over auto work leads to Jackson County shooting
Jackson County Sheriff's Department officials said a dispute over mechanical work may to be blame in a Sunday shooting.
Sheriff Mike Ezell said Henry Speder, 54, of the St. Andrews community, was arrested on the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies responded to a call about a shooting in the 2000 block of South 25th Street, Ezell said. He said Speder was hired to do mechanical work on a vehicle and an argument with another person over the vehicle led to Speder firing a shot.
No one was injured in the shooting.
If convicted of the charge, Speder could face up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
