GULFPORT -- The trial of a man accused of having child pornography, and later of alleged acts that drew complaints from neighbors, has been moved to a federal court calendar that starts Feb. 1.

Michael Wayne Lee, 51, was indicted June 23 on a child porn charge that he had pictures or videos of children engaged in sexual activity on his home computer in Gulfport in September 2014.

His trial was set for this month. His attorney recently sought a delay, saying Lee had been hospitalized for a serious medical condition.

Chief U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola Jr. agreed to postpone the trial.

Lee pleaded not guilty June 30 and was released on an unsecured $25,000 appearance bond pending trial. He was living in Jackson County in September when neighbors began lodging complaints with the sheriff's office.
