Police search for Ocean Springs auto burglar

OCEAN SPRINGS -- Police are searching for a man suspected in burglaries from three vehicles and use of stolen credit cards to make purchases at stores in Ocean Springs and Biloxi this week.

Ocean Springs police Capt. William Jackson said officers received reports of auto burglaries Monday and Thursday in which credit cards were taken, then used at Wal-Mart in Ocean Springs and Dillard's in Biloxi.

Jackson said surveillance cameras at one of the stores captured footage of the burglar trying to use one of the stolen credit cards.

Anyone with any information on the identity of the person pictured in the surveillance photo is asked to call the Ocean Springs Police Department at 875-2211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-787-5898.
