Caught on video: Police need help identifying refrigerator thief

D'IBERVILLE -- Police are asking for help to identify a man caught on surveillance cameras stealing a new refrigerator from a home under construction on Johnson Still Road.

Capt. Marty Griffin said footage shows a man prying open a window of the home about 4 a.m. Wednesday and entering the house.

The man dragged the refrigerator, which had recently been delivered and was still in the shipping box, out the front door and into the bed a black pickup truck.

The home's owners released surveillance footage to police, who released it to the media in an attempt to identify the thief.

Police are asking anyone with information about the burglary to contact D'Iberville police at 396-4252 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-787-5898.
