JACKSON COUNTY -- Deputies are investigating a recent rash of auto burglaries on the west side of the county.
Most of the burglaries occurred on unlocked vehicles containing jewelry, sunglasses, weapons, iPads and cash left in plain sight, Sheriff Mike Ezell said in a press release.
The sheriff's department is warning residents not to leave their vehicles unlocked with expensive items inside.
