One in custody after friend shot intervening in family dispute
A suspect is in custody after a family dispute turned violent Tuesday morning.
Pascagoula police Lt. Doug Adams said a mother and son were arguing Tuesday morning at a home in the 4000 block of Telephone Road when a family friend tried to intervene and stop the argument.
Adams said the friend who stepped in was shot once in the right thigh, and was taken to Singing River Hospital with non-life threatening wounds about 11:30 a.m.
It was not clear who shot the gun.
Adams said the shooting is under investigation.
