Man arrested in bad-check scheme at casino
BILOXI -- A California man has been in a scheme to pass a bad check at the Golden Nugget Casino, officials said.
Biloxi police Sgt. Donnie Dobbs said Hung Phong Vinh Bui of Westminster was arrested Saturday on the charge of false pretense.
Dobbs said Bui attempted to pass a $50,000 cashier's check at the casino for a line of credit but it was discovered the check had already been redeemed at another casino.
Bui was taken to the Harrison County jail on a $100,000 bond set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.
