A St. Martin man and woman were arrested Friday after police said they were spotted looking for unlocked cars to steal from.

D'Iberville Police Chief Wayne Payne said Daniel Glenn Warrick Jr., 24, and Courtney Danielle Hayden, 20, were arrested after authorities received a call from a resident of the River Walk subdivision who saw someone pulling on the door handles of a vehicle parked in a neighbor's driveway.

Police found Warrick and Hayden in the area.

Payne said they were attempting to find unlocked cars.

Nothing was reported stolen from the neighborhood.

Warrick and Hayden were both arrested on one count each of attempted burglary. Harrison County Justice Court Judge set Hayden's bond at $5,000. Warrick also had a warrant for a probation violation, and his bond was set at $25,000.
