JACKSON COUNTY -- A Pascagoula man convicted twice on misdemeanor charges accusing him of exposing his genitalia and masturbating in public has been sentenced to five years in prison for exposing himself a third time.

Randy M. Richardson, 41, pleaded guilty to felony indecent exposure, admitting he exposed himself at C&C gas station Aug. 22, 2014. The charge was a felony because of Richardson previous convictions.

A judge recommended he undergo a psychological and psychiatric assessment so he could receive treatment while in prison. His release date is May 23, 2020.

Assistant District Attorney Leilani Tynes prosecuted the case.

On Oct. 2, 2012, a woman spotted Richardson outside another gas station in Pascagoula exposing his genitalia and masturbating, police said. She told her boyfriend and they called police. He was convicted on that charge Oct. 3, 2012.

On Oct. 6, 2012, witnesses spotted Richardson masturbating in front of children on the north side of I.G. Levy Park. They told police they left the park because they were "disgusted." He was convicted on that charge Oct. 10, 2012.

Richardson also has armed robbery, grand larceny and felony indecent exposure convictions in unrelated cases in Jackson County.
