Gautier High School evacuated for bomb threat

GAUTIER -- Police evacuated Gautier High School on Thursday after a bomb threat was called in about 1:45 p.m.

Gautier police Sgt. Matt Hoggatt said, "We don't have a credible evidence of a threat right now but we are taking precautions."

The Jackson County sheriff's K-9 searched the school for a bomb.

The bomb threat was the fourth reported in the last two weeks.

Ocean Springs Middle School was evacuated Monday by a bomb threat.

Two others, St. Martin High and D'Iberville High, were evacuated after bomb threats there Nov. 12.

A 15-year-old was arrested in the D'Iberville case on a charge of false reporting of a threat with a bomb.
