Pascagoula police searching for suspect in boat, trailer theft, other incident

Pascagoula police are asking for the public's help to find suspects in the theft of a boat and trailer and unrelated attempted theft of a pickup truck, according to Pascagoula police Capt. Shannon Massey.

According to authorities, police are searching for the occupants or owner of a white Ford FX4 extended-cab pickup truck with black spoke rims that was used to steal a 1988 Starcraft Bluewater 240 boat and trailer on Nov. 5 from Gulf Trust Credit Union.

The truck was taken around 11:30 p.m. from the parking lot of the business in the 2500 block of U.S. 90 in Pascagoula.

In unrelated incident Thursday night, someone attempted to steal a pickup truck from Byrd's Automotive on Live Oak Avenue.

Police say the occupants of a multi-colored passenger car, possibly an older model Honda Accord, are wanted for questioning in the attempted theft. The passenger car was seen entering an area near the targeted truck and was later captured on video surveillance leaving the scene.
