Hancock County prosecutor arrested at Ole Miss campus

OXFORD - Ole Miss campus police arrested Hancock County Prosecutor Olen Anderson Saturday on two misdemeanor charges.

According to the University of Mississippi Police, Anderson was arrested on charges of public drunkenness and simple assault.

He was booked into the Lafayette County jail and released hours later on Saturday.

Campus police would not provide additional information on the incident.

Calls to Anderson were not immediately returned Monday.
