Police: Biloxi man used break-in to 'intimidate ex's new boyfriend'
Police arrested a Biloxi man Monday after he broke into his ex girlfriend's home to intimidate her and her new boyfriend, officials said.
Capt. William Jackson said Jason Randell Smith, 46, forced his way into the residence in the 200 block of Beverly Place and brandished a firearm at a male and female occupant.
Officers entered the residence and were able to take the weapon away from Smith without incident, Jackson said.
Detective Lt. Bruce Spearnock said a further investigation revealed Smith and the female occupant were previously in a relationship and he was upset about the breakup.
"Smith said he feels like the break up ruined his life," Jackson said. "He went over to the house to try and intimidate the new couple."
Smith was taken to the Ocean Springs jail on the charge of home invasion and is being held on a $20,000 bond set by Judge Matthew Mestayer.
