Off-duty Gulfport firefighter arrested in shooting
GULFPORT -- Police arrested off-duty Gulfport firefighter Scott Lebron Stuckey, 54, on Sunday and charged him with aggravated assault in connection with a shooting at his home.
Police said they responded to Stuckey's house in the 13300 block of Roxbury Place at 3:38 a.m. Sunday because a disturbance was reported.
While they were en route, the status was changed to a shooting.
Police said they learned that there had been a verbal fight between Stuckey and an adult man, who had been a guest at Stuckey's house.
"During the argument, Stuckey brandished a firearm and shot the victim in the leg," police said in a press release on Sunday.
AMR Ambulance took the man to the hospital to have the gunshot wound treated.
Stuckey was arrested and booked at the Gulfport Police Department and then taken to the Harrison County jail. Harrison County Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner set his bond at $25,000.
Police are continuing to investigate the case.
