GULFPORT -- A man sought in the rape of a 78-year-old woman in her home has been arrested, police said.
Deltber Keyes, 44, was arrested Tuesday on charges of kiddnapping, rape and robbery.
Deputy Chief Chris Loposser said police received numerous tips, including one from a community member that led to Keyes' arrest.
"This is a success not only for the police department but also for the community," he said in a press conference late Tuesday afternoon.

Officers found Keyes at a home in the 700 block of 26th Street. McDaniel said it is unknown if he lived there, but he was visiting family on 26th Street.
Gulfport police had responded at midnight Oct. 18 to a report of a rape at a residence on 25th Street.
Gulfport police Sgt. McDaniel said the 78-year-old victim went into her yard after hearing suspicious noises, and was forced back inside and raped.
The man also took an undisclosed amount of money, and ran away, he said.
Keyes was taken to the Harrison County jail and held on a $1 million bond set by Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
