An armed robber is on the loose in Bay St. Louis after fleeing Rosetti's Liquor Barrel where he used a gun to demand money from an employee Thursday night, officials said.

Chief Mike De Nardo said officers responded to Rosetti's Liquor Barrel at 10 p.m. after a report of a white man pulling a gun on the cashier and demanding money before fleeing on foot towards Drinkwater Boulevard.

The robber is described as being in his 30s, between 5-feet-11 and 6-feet-2, medium build, wearing a black baseball cap, grey zip up jacket and khaki cargo pants.

De Nardo said officers called in the Hancock County Sheriff's K-9 units to search the surrounding area, but the search turned up no results.

The robber should be considered dangerous.
