Three arrested in connection to Moss Point theft
Authorities in Mobile arrested three people in connection with a theft in Moss Point, officials said.
James Alvin Hawthorne Jr., 48, of Mobile, Michael Henry Sutton, 34, of Lucedale, and Brian Thomas Damanis, 19, of Theodore, Ala., are suspects in the Sept. 29 theft of a lawn mower and a utility trailer, valued at over $12,000, from the John Deere dealership in Moss Point, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
On Oct. 1, all three men were arrested for allegedly stealing equipment from a Mobile business, authorities said. Investigators discovered they could be connected to the Moss Point incident as well as a theft in Lucedale.
The three are being held in Mobile and will be extradited to Jackson County to face charges of grand larceny, authorities said.
