Sheriff's investigators have charged a Jackson County couple each on a two counts of felony contributing to the neglect of a child, Sheriff Mike Byrd said.
The suspects were identified as Robert William Perry, 31, and Kimberly Dawn Perry, 26. The arrest came after sheriff's investigators responded to a report of a 2-year-old and 4-year-old who were "deprived of necessary needs that subsequently could result in harm to the children's physical, mental or emotional health."
Both were being held today at the Jackson County jail. They were taken into custody Monday.
