Sheridan Davis, 41, was taken into custody late Wednesday night after a shooting was reported in the 1100 block of 32nd Avenue.
Police say he wounded someone and fled but was apprehended in the 2000 block of 32nd. The wounded person was taken to a hospital for treatment.
At the time of his arrest, he was out on bond for a home invasion-style burglary in Collins and another that occurred in Gulfport.
He is held at the Harrison County jail. The new charge is aggravated assault. Justice Court Judge Gene Dedeaux has set bond at $1 million.
