George County man to serve jail time in arson

A George County man will serve seven years in prison for setting fire to a public housing complex on Dec. 9, 2010, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Joshua Daniel Easter, 32, was sentenced today in U.S. District Court. He'd been in custody since his May 10 arrest. He later pleaded guilty to a federal charge of arson of a building with risk of injury.

No one was injured in the fire.
