A third most-wanted person featured in Sunday's Sun Herald has surrendered to authorities, Sheriff Mike Byrd said this morning.
Rebecca Coffey, 26, surrendered Tuesday night. She was wanted on a charge of receiving stolen property. The warrant was issued in March, and the crime occurred in February in the Escatawpa community.
Ocean Springs Police Lt. John Flowers said authorities had received tips about Coffey's whereabouts Tuesday.
Two other suspects in Sunday's South Mississippi's most-wanted series already are in custody.
Abram Lamar "Gator" Lawrence, 20, surrendered to Pasacagoula authorities. He was wanted in connection with a Sept. 1 home invasion.
When he went to surrender, Pascagoula police Lt. James DeShannon Massey said, he told authorities it was just a matter of time before someone turned him in as a result of the most-wanted series.
And Ivan Dale Tatum, who was wanted on a felony charge of sale of a controlled substance in Harrison County, currently is in custody.
