Police: Teen who robbed woman beat her

BILOXI - An investigation shows a Biloxi teen arrested Monday allegedly beat his female victim with a stick.

Police charged Zawauntae Moore, 17, of the 2200 block of Pass Road with robbery after an investigation showed that Moore took $40 from a victim after striking her several times in the head with a stick.

Under State Law, individuals who have reached their 17 birthday are charged as adults if the crime they commit would be a felony if committed by an adult.

Moore was takend to Harrison County jail on a $10,0000 appearance bond set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.
