Coast man arrested, accused of firing into car with four people inside
A 32-year-old St. Martin man was arrested Saturday and is facing multiple charges after a shooting Saturday, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Randall Andrew Pisarich, Jr., 32, was charged with four counts of aggravated assault and booked into the Jackson County Adult Detention Center, where he is awaiting an initial appearance in County Court.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to Waycross Drive, in the St. Martin community, in reference to a shooting complaint. While responding to the scene, patrol deputies stopped the victims’ vehicle and rendered aid to a passenger, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttock. The suspect, later identified as Pisarich, was found and detained at the residence. Investigators responded and took over the investigation.
During the investigation, officials say, investigators learned Pisarich and one of the victims were involved in a verbal altercation. As the driver attempted to leave Pisarich’s residence, Pisarich discharged a firearm into the vehicle several times, striking a rear passenger. The vehicle was also occupied with four passengers at the time of the shooting. The rear passenger was transported to the hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
