Suspect fired gun at South MS business. He’s now under arrest

Mustafa Abdulla Alyazidi, 21, of Gautier was charged with one count of drive-by shooting and arrested Wednesday by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers responded to the Up N Smoke business on Washington Avenue in St. Martin after a shooting was reported, a news release from the office said. Deputies determined Alyazidi discharged a handgun into the business after a fight with one of the employees. The deputies then located and arrested him.

He is being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center, pending an initial appearance before Jackson County Court Judge Mark Watts.
