South MS man accused of 1,400 posts on dark web advertising child pornography
A Pass Christian man is in federal custody following his arrest for allegedly advertising child pornography over 1,400 times in a one-year period, according to authorities.
Jesse James Ladner, 26, was identified during an international investigation targeting people who advertise and distribute child sexual abuse material on the dark web, a part of Internet that requires certain software to access.
Ladner was arrested in South Mississippi but charged as part of the international probe based in Boston, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.
He is charged with advertising child pornography, a federal crime that carries a maximum sentence of up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
According to prosecutors, Ladner advertised various child pornography files with different titles, including “Next up Melissa the naked 11 yo live preview,” and “Next up, classic blonde (2vids), incoming live previews.”
According to charging documents, Ladner allegedly included a signature on his posts that said he preferred girls 17 and younger and boys 12 and younger and included his favorite fetish.
During the course of the investigation, authorities determined that Ladner had made at least 1,450 posts on the child porn site.
The US. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts and Homeland Security Investigations investigated the case with assistance from state and federal authorities in Mississippi.
The case was investigated as party of the Justice Department’s Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative developed to protect children from child exploitation and child sexual abuse.
