John Francis Buhring III, 26, of Hoover, Alabama, was arrested Sunday near the Old Americus Fire Station near Lucedale.

A local resident notified the Jackson County Sheriff Department the truck was stolen and Buhring allegedly broke into a car in the same area.

Investigators reported Buhring was taken into custody after he returned the fire truck to the station and was found walking in the area.

He is charged with commercial burglary, motor vehicle theft and auto burglary. An initial appearance is Monday at 1:30 p.m. in county court.
