Coast woman arrested, accused of stabbing relatives with scissors, police say

An Ocean Springs woman was arrested Tuesday on aggravated assault charges, and is accused of stabbing two relatives with scissors during a fight, according to Ocean Springs police.

Angeletta Faith King, 23, is jailed in Jackson County on two counts of aggravated assault and one count of misdemeanor simple assault.

Ocean Springs police made the arrest after responding to a report of a stabbing at the family’s home in the Highland Park mobile home park.

A third relative sustained a cut during the fight, resulting in the misdemeanor charge. The victims were treated at the scene.

After the arrest, Ocean Springs Municipal Judge Monti Tynes set King’s bond at $1 million total on the aggravated assault charges, plus an additional $1,000 bond for the misdemeanor charge.

King remains jailed on bond.
