South Mississippi man jailed on child sex crime charges, police say

A Wiggins man has been arrested on child sex crimes charges, according to Wiggins Police Sgt. Jarred Havard.

Jesse Stiles, 29, is jailed in Stone County on one count of sexual battery and two counts of touching a child for lustful purposes while in a position of authority over a child.

Stiles has been in custody since Monday, according to jail records.

At his initial appearance in court Tuesday, a judge set the total bond at $300,000.

The case remains under investigation.
