MS Coast police officer fired after child abuse arrest in Alabama, chief says

A Pascagoula police officer has been fired following his arrest in Mobile County, Alabama, on a charge of child abuse, Police Chief Terry Scott said in a release. The officer, identified in Mobile County as Thomas Landon Horn, 38, was arrested Friday on a charge of child abuse in Mobile County.

Scott did not identify the officer in a release but said the officer was placed on leave Tuesday amid the allegations. His termination followed his arrest Friday. “I am proud of the men and women in this department, and hearing this breaks my heart,” Scott said.
