Accused puppy killer arrested, facing felony charge, Biloxi police say

The alleged victim of two separate assaults last weekend has been arrested for the death of a puppy during one of the incidents.

The Biloxi Police Department said Saturday that Bradford Duplantis, 33, has been arrested on a felony charge of aggravated cruelty to dog. Duplantis turned himself in at the Biloxi Police Department and was taken into custody without incident.

The warrant and arrest were the result of an investigation that began on April 4, when officers responded to the 300 block of Jim Money Road for a medical call. Duplantis, who at the time was said to be suffering from “life-threatening” injuries, is accused of killing a two-and-a-half-week-old Huskey puppy.

Duplantis was ultimately charged with and given a $25,000 bond by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain. Duplantis was later taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
