Jackson County man arrested, charged with sexual battery, molestation of minor
A 39-year-old man from Vancleave was arrested Monday after an investigation of an alleged sexual assault, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Mitchell Linn Dye was arrested and charged with felony counts of sexual battery and molestation. According to Sheriff John Ledbetter, the investigation centers around a 15-year-old juvenile who said she was sexually assaulted by Dye in February.
Dye had an initial appearance with Judge Mark Watts, and his bail was set at $100,000 for each charge, which totaled $200,000.
