A Houston man has been arrested for trafficking cocaine after 8.8 pounds of the illegal narcotic were seized Wednesday from his Jeep Wagoneer on Interstate 10.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department puts the value of the cocaine at $125,000 sold in bulk or $200,000 to $250,000 if broken up.

The sheriff’s Criminal Interdiction Division, working with a U.S. Border Patrol agent, stopped the Jeep on Interstate 10 eastbound in Biloxi, a news release from the sheriff’s office said. A search of the Jeep turned up the cocaine, which was stored on top of the spare tire, Sheriff Matt Haley said.

Once the drugs were discovered, sheriff’s investigators responded. They arrested the driver, Norbert Henry Jr., on a drug trafficking charge. He was being held in the Harrison County jail.
