Two Gulfport 18-year-olds, juvenile arrested after victim shot multiple times

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Kyron Jcari James, 18, of Gulfport on one felony count of aggravated assault and Shawanda Starks, 18, of Gulfport on a felony charge of accessory after the fact.

A juvenile who was not named also was arrested over the same incident, which involved a physical fight that escalated into an exchange of gunfire, a news release from Sheriff Matt Haley said. An unnamed male was shot multiple times the night of Jan. 28 on Steeplechase Drive.

James is being held without bond in the Harrison County jail, while Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner set bond at $20,000 for Starks. The juvenile, arrested for accessory after the fact, was being held in the Harrison County Youth Detention Center, the news release said.
